ADVAN decorates Indomie with nine awards for marketing excellence

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) has decorated Indomie, the flagship brand of Dufil Prima Foods Limited with nine awards in different categories at ADVAN Awards for Marketing Excellence (Africa) 2023.

Through the award, ADVAN recognises and celebrates outstanding creativity and impact in brand marketing and activation, and rewards marketing professionals for making significant marks in their profession.

Indomie won this year’s Consumer Choice Awards – based on consumers’ online votes; Consumer Promo of the Year with its Indomie Golden Magnet Promo, and Digital Campaign of the Year through the ‘Show Some Love Mother’s Day Campaign’.

It also emerged second position for the ‘Indomie Flavor Fest campaign’ in the Experiential Campaign of the Year category, Brand of the Year award and Future Leader of Marketing of the Year was received by Rahmotallahi Adeniyi, digital marketing manager of Indomie.

Gift Uche-Ewule, assistant brand manager of Indomie, emerged third position in the Future Leader of Marketing of the Year (Junior Manager) category with additional recognitions for ‘Industry Builder Award which was awarded to Dufil CMO, Manpreet Singh and Best Marketing Team of the Year.

Tope Ashiwaju, group corporate communications and event manager of Dufil Prima Foods Limited said the company had always been driven towards creating value and prioritising excellence.

“In attaining our goals of marketing strategy, we have consistently applied innovative marketing principles, leveraging the passion points of the consumers to generate real measurable success for our various brands. These awards are a testimony to the quality of work, excellence and productivity of the team,” he said.

He explained that the ‘Show Some Love Mother’s Day Campaign’ is an emotional reflection of mothers’ unconditional love for their children despite all their shortcomings and how Indomie has been quite handy for the family.

“We know that to whom much is given, much more is expected. Therefore, we at Dufil Prima Foods see these awards as incentives to do more, in bringing different innovations into the production, brand communications and marketing of our brands,” he said.

In his remarks, Osamede Uwubanmwen, president of ADVAN said the awards had evolved over the years in response to new developments in marketing theory and practice, to reflect the critical role of marketing as the vital source of value creation for business.

ADVAN is a non-profit organisation and the umbrella association for all advertisers, providing an organised forum for advertisers to express their views and influence developmental changes in the Nigerian marketing communications scene.
