The ANWEP Women of the Year Award honors women who have led the way in advancing equity, economic security and leadership for women and girls in our communities through education, mentorship, leadership, and contribution to the advancement of women in STEM.
The Inaugural Entrepreneurial Awards Banquet will gather influential women entrepreneurs together for a great networking experience with a thoughtful discussion about how we can create equitable communities across Nigeria and how best to identify and nurture pools of potential STEM talent that are currently overlooked, under-developed, and under-utilized, but could become a source of STEM professionals that could fuel innovation.
The Association of Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals, ANWEP is a premiere global organization, empowering women in business and leadership to achieve unimagined possibilities. ANWEP was established in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the state of Texas, USA, and in 2019, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Worldwide, AWEPW (the world’s leading association for entrepreneurial and professional women) was created as the umbrella organization for ANWEP. The goal of ANWEP is to redefine the way women professionals and entrepreneurs collaborate to drive innovation and business growth.
The 2021 honorees come from some of the largest establishments across the globe and represent a variety of fields in the private and public sectors, including healthcare, legal, manufacturing, STEM, non-profits, academia, to name a few.
ANWEP elevates and celebrates the impact of women leaders and entrepreneurs by presenting the Leader of the Year, Woman of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Role Model of the Year, Educator of the Year, Professional of the Year and Exemplary Trailblazer of the Year Awards to the most influential women across Nigeria who go above and beyond in their businesses and in the community to empower and elevate the voices of women and girls across all sectors.
The Award Banquet will feature a keynote speaker, Foluso Gbadamosi, and include conversations with each award recipient to learn more about their remarkable contributions in advancing women and girls in their various communities across Nigeria.
