Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has revealed he would love to play in the United States MLS if the opportunity comes.
The Napoli striker is in Nigeria to continue his recovery from the muscle injury he suffered during Nigeria’s international friendly against Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen’s relationship with Napoli has not been good recently after the club’s official TikTok account mocked him for missing a penalty against Bologna.
Speaking in a chat with former Mario Balotelli and Emiliano Viviano on the ‘TvPlay’ channel when asked if he would rather play in the MLS or Saudi Pro League if given the same conditions, Osimhen said:
“If I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS,” Osimhen said.
“I am happy at Napoli.
“People don’t know how difficult it is to play in Serie A. From a tactical and physical point of view, it’s one of the most difficult leagues to play in.”
Osimhen had a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal this summer that was reportedly rejected by Napoli.

“They are trying to develop their league, which is good,” Osimhen said of the Saudi Arabia League.
“One [Ronaldo] of the greatest of all time has gone there. Because of his [Ronaldo’s] influence, they have attracted many talented players to go there. So, for me, it’s really good. They are trying to build their league into one of the best.”
The Nigeria international has yet to sign a new deal, with his contract expiring in June 2025. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently hinted that he may sell his priced star.
