Gunmen have kidnapped the wife and two children of Lawal Ayanshola Soliu, a member of the Kwara State House of Assembly who represents Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru in Moro Local Government.
They broke into the legislator’s home, armed with AK-47 weapons on Monday night at around one in the morning. They fired intermittent shots into the air to frighten the neighbours before removing the victims.
According to the source, no one knows their whereabouts.
“One of the kidnappers who contacted the family said he was not yet with his colleagues in the forest to harmonise their price, ” the source told Vanguard Newspaper.

On Tuesday, attempts to reach the lawmaker via phone went unanswered.
When contacted, Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesperson for the Kwara state police command, confirmed the event.
“Details are still sketchy but I will get back as soon as we have comprehensive details of the incident”, he said
