Didi Adodo, former labour leader, is dead

A former general secretary of the United Labour Congress (ULC), Didi Adodo, is dead. He reportedly died on Tuesday morning from an unknown illness.

A source said Adodo, who until his death was the general secretary of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN), became sick five days ago but could not survive the illness.

The deceased, who served as a commissioner during Adams Oshiomhole’s administration as governor of Edo State, was married with children.

Oshiomhole had, while administering the oath on the former commissioner, described him as a dedicated gentleman.

Adodo hailed from Iruekpen in Esan West Local Government Area of the Edo State.
