Rowland Nwakanma, deputy general manager of the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency ASEPA, has appealed to all residents of Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state, to assist government’s efforts in making the city and its environs cleaner.
Nwakanma made the call at Aba while receiving a meritorious award from the management and staff of ASEPA Aba zone for his hard work and commitment to duties.
He said that Aba remained the window through which outsiders would see the state, adding that there was need to improve on the sanitation of the city.
The ASEPA Aba helmsman thanked the organisers of the event for the honour done him and assured that it would spur him to greater achievements.
Nwakanma dedicated the award to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for giving him the platform to perform.
Conferring the award on Nwakanma on behalf of the staff of the agency earlier, Ndu Nwanke said the award was to encourage the ASEPA Deputy General Manager to render more service to the people
