Policemen and street urchins popularly called “Area Boys” are clashing in the Marine Beach area Apapa, with pedestrians and drivers being robbed and some wounded.
Policemen on the scene allegedly fired sporadic gunshots in the air to disperse the crow as commuters in the vehicle ran for their lives. It has not been confirmed what may be behind the pandemonium, however, one eye witness alleged it was connected to a bribe demanded from police officers.

Some drivers are abandoning their vehicles in the middle of the road and running to safety, as the marauding street urchins attack the deserted vehicles.
There is also a lot of shooting by the police, forcing passers-by to run for safety.
There is a fire outbreak at the Lilypond Transit Truck Park. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
The Area Boys are said to have blocked fire-fighters from putting out the fire.
Equally, a trailer driver has blocked the entrance to the park, allegedly to stop anybody from saving the fire.
