BIC Nigeria has intensified its commitment to empowering students to reach their full potential inside and outside the classroom through the provision of writing tools to Lagos State students.
BIC, a leader in stationery recently donated necessary writing tools to students in Lagos State to enhance students’ performance during the crucial examination period of the West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO).
Adeyemi Ojo, business development lead at BIC Nigeria speaking at the event commended the efforts of Babajide Sanwoolu, Lagos State governor in development education in the state through various initiatives such as the T.H.E.M.E policy agenda.

“We are honoured to support the education space in Nigeria, and more specifically the Lagos State government today. We are humbled to have had the opportunity to contribute towards improving learning conditions for our youth by providing them with the necessary writing tools during the most crucial examination period.
“We believe that quality education is fundamental to shaping our nation’s future, and remain committed to supporting the sector. We are confident that working alongside the Lagos State government under the T.H.E.M.E policy agenda will allow us to leverage our initiatives further to support the wider community,” he said.
Ojo disclosed that BIC’s contribution towards the education space stems from the company’s commitment to improving learning conditions for 250 million students by the year 2025, which is part of its sustainable development programme, tagged ‘Writing the Future Together’.
The donation which took place at the Lagos State secretariat in Alausa- Ikeja, had dignitaries such as Jamiu Alli-Balogun, the commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education; Abayomi Abolaji, the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education; and Patrick Bello, BIC representative present. Besides, representatives from selected schools were present.
