Former Italy international Luca Toni has expressed reservations about Victor Osimhen’s suitability for Juventus, despite the Serie A giant’s reported interest in the Nigerian striker.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been on Juventus’ radar. Italian media claim the club is set to part ways with Dusan Vlahovic to facilitate the deal. The Nigerian forward will be available for €75 million in the summer.
Galatasaray recently made a €65 million bid for Osimhen, but Napoli rejected the offer. The Turkish club has since shifted its focus to signing Álvaro Morata from AC Milan, anticipating Osimhen’s likely departure.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli—who originally brought Osimhen to Napoli in 2020—remains interested in reuniting with the 26-year-old in Turin.
However, any move hinges on Vlahovic’s sale, as the funds generated would be crucial in financing the transfer.
Despite the club’s interest, Toni, a World Cup winner and former Juventus striker, believes Osimhen may not be the best fit for manager Thiago Motta’s tactical approach.
“At the end of the season, everyone will have to make assessments, starting with Juventus, who must decide what kind of striker they want to rely on,” Toni told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Osimhen offers more depth than Vlahovic but perhaps links the play even less than Dusan. So, I’m unsure if it would make much difference for Thiago Motta.”
Osimhen has been in fine form this season, scoring 17 goals and five assists in 22 league appearances for Galatasaray across all competitions.
The Nigerian forward has previously attracted interest from Chelsea, PSG, and Al-Ahli, though negotiations with those clubs have not materialized.
