Early Life and Youth Career
Ebiowei’s footballing journey began in South London. Scouted by Chelsea at age five, he joined their academy before moving to Arsenal’s Hale End Academy at 11. There, he excelled, forming a dominant attacking trio with Omari Hutchinson and Khayon Edwards. His talent was so evident that he featured in Arsenal’s 2019/20 kit launch with legends Ian Wright and Mesut Özil. He debuted for the U18s at 15 after a strong U16 season. Despite this promise, Arsenal released him.

From Arsenal to Derby County
Following his Arsenal release, Ebiowei had trials at West Ham and interest from Everton, but eventually joined Rangers in Scotland. After a season there, he returned to England, signing with Derby County in 2021. He quickly impressed, scoring seven goals in seven U18 appearances. His drive to improve was clear; after a hat-trick against Leeds U18s, he questioned his decision to shoot rather than try to beat another defender.
Breakthrough at Derby and Premier League Move
Ebiowei’s senior debut came on 8 February 2022 as a substitute in Derby’s win against Hull City. He scored his first senior goal against Blackpool and his performance earned him a move to Crystal Palace in June 2022. He joined the Premier League ranks, following in the footsteps of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise. However, his playing time at Palace has been limited.

Loan spells and international career
To gain experience, Ebiowei has embarked on several loan spells. He joined Hull City in January 2023, RWD Molenbeek in February 2024, and Oxford United in August 2024 (returning in January 2025).
Internationally, Ebiowei is eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents and has represented both the Netherlands and England at youth levels. He played for both countries at the U15 level and has since represented England U20s. His senior international future remains open.
