Liverpool to battle Sevilla in final ‪2024-25‬ pre-season game at Anfield

A statement from Liverpool Football Club has disclosed that the club will finish its pre-season programme with a match against La Liga side Sevilla at Anfield on Sunday August 11, for a 3pm BST kick-off.

Both clubs have met twice in the Champions League in recent years, both ending in draws, and previously contested the Europa League final in 2016.

However, the game will be new head coach Arne Slot’s first game at Anfield, and the Reds’ fourth pre-season fixture in preparation for ‪2024-25‬, which begins with a trip to newly promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday August 17.

According to LFC, the Anfield match will follow three pre-season games in the USA, with the first one against Real Betis at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Friday July 26 (kick-off 7.30pm EST).

Slot’s men will also face Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Arsenal game takes place on July 31 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and will be followed by an encounter with United at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina on August 3.

Season ticket holders, LFC Official Members and hospitality seasonal members can purchase tickets for the clash with Sevilla from 8.15am BST on Thursday June 27, while hospitality tickets will be available to buy online from 10am on Thursday June 27.

The club also disclosed that the Reds’ return to the USA for the first time since 2019, will see Liverpool and its official charity LFC Foundation involved in a number of grassroots and charitable events.
