The Milky Cruise: Dano celebrates World Milk Day, Engages Fans

For a good number of years, Dano Milk has been at the forefront of the World Milk Day celebrations in Nigeria. From hosting remarkable events to nourishing communities and setting a Guinness world record in 2018, the leading dairy brand has continually raised the bar, stopping at nothing to celebrate milk and emphasize its importance to healthy nutrition.

During the pandemic in 2020, Dano celebrated World Milk Day with an innovative virtual campaign urging Nigerians to Raise a glass to better days.

The high point of the event was the message of hope by the brand wishing Nigerians “Better Days Ahead”, the campaign had notable personalities like Jaiye Kuti, Funnybone and the likes post their pictures online while raising a glass of milk and anticipating better days.

This year’s celebration was no different. It kicked off on the 22nd of May with a series of witty conversations and milk puns on social media, telling Nigerians what it means to “catch cruise”. This was followed by a call out to Catch “TheMilkyCruise” by expressing love for milk in diverse creative ways.

As World Milk Day approached, the brand took it up a notch in a fun activity called “Milk’ o clock” with some influencers and brand ambassadors like Jaiye Kuti, Rachel Okonkwo, Mr Macaroni, Funnybone, Ric Hassani, Nengi, and Dr Kelechi Okoro ( The healthertainer) who asked fans and consumers questions at specific hours of the day, about milk and rewarded select people.

The brand also made room for offline activities with an in-store Milky Cruise activation at stores in Lagos like Spar on Victoria Island, Shoprite, Ikeja, Shoprite, Sangotedo and Just Rite, Abule- Egba, where everyone who purchased any brand of Milk received a gift from Dano.

To wrap it up, the brand organised a road cruise in Lagos, Ibadan and Port Harcourt with a branded vehicle and gave gifts to members of the public in marketplaces and neighbourhoods.
