Hoodlums on Friday harrassed journalists covering the #EndBadGovernance protests in Ojota area of Lagos state.
The hoodlums had told some set of journalists to vacate a section of the protest ground, claiming “this area belongs to us.”
As witnessed and observed by our correspondent, the hoodlums went further to tell News Central Africa crew to vacate where they were as they approached them in the presence of the police.

BusinessDay journalist, Damilola Olufemi; Kabir Adejumo of HumAngle; and another official from a civil society organisation were also harrassed by the hoodlums.
One of the hoodlums had claimed that the media was supposed to cover violence going on during the protest. However, this claim was false as there had not been any form of attack or violence recorded so far.
“This is our area. There is a violence going on that you need to cover. Leave this place now. I will beat you,” the hoodlums said.
BusinessDay reported that the protest began August 1 and it was planned to last for 10 days.
But the violence recorded in states like Kano, Jigawa has forced the government to impose dusk to dawn curfews.
