Plateau lawmaker inaugurates multiple projects for constituents

In a remarkable display of dedication to his constituents, Mathew Kwarpo, member representing Mangu South State Constituency of Plateau State, has inaugurated numerous projects he executed within 60 days of taking oath of office.

Speaking at various project commissioning ceremonies in the Constituency, Kwarpo urged beneficiaries to take ownership of the projects and protect them from vandalism.

The lawmaker said his efforts aimed at improving the lives of his constituents, providing portable drinking water through boreholes to prevent water-borne diseases.

At Kerang District, he stated that the borehole water was sourced from the popular swamp water in Kerang, ensuring a reliable source for the community.

Kwarpo also renovated a church at Chafen, which was set ablaze during civil unrest last year, earning praise from Jacob Irimia, the pastor in charge of the church.

The lawmaker emphasised that these projects aligned with Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s developmental strides, consolidating progress in the area.

Other inaugurated projects included street solar lights in five wards without electricity, lockup shops for commercial activities, and grants for small-scale businesses.

Ongoing projects include school, worship center, and palace renovations, as well as skills acquisition training for idle youth.

During the commissioning, Kwarpo paid homage to traditional rulers and offered condolences to constituents who lost loved ones, earning praise from the community for his initiatives.

Kwarpo’s dedication to his constituents has set a high standard for public service, inspiring hope for a brighter future in Mangu South.
