As tension mounts over the sack of Vice-President Osinbajo’s aides who were relieved of their appointments on Wednesday, it has been discovered that the daughter of a former Oyo State governor was among the relations of prominent politicians who were affected in the mass disengagement at the presidency.
The list includes Ajibola Ajayi, the daughter of former governor of Oyo state, Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.
Until her sack, she had worked as Special Assistant, Legal, to the President (VP’s office) in August 2019.
She had earlier worked as SA to the President on Bureau of Public Enterprises, BPE (VP’s office) from October 2015 to May 2019.
BusinessDay had reported that the President who is currently on a private visit to the United Kingdom had yesterday relieved over 35 staff attached to the Vice President’s office of their jobs.
Others include Lanre Osinbona, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on ICT; Imeh Okon, SSA on Infrastructure; Jide Awolowo, SA, Oil & Gas; Gambo Manzo, SA Political, and Edobor Iyamu, SSA, Niger Delta, amongst others.
