Glo begins sale of BlackBerry Z10

 Globacom has kicked off the sale of the new BlackBerry Z10 (BB Z10) at the company’s Corporate Sales Office on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Glo ambassadors and Nollywood stars, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha and Desmond Elliot, joined the company’s sales and marketing team to attend to postpaid customers who had earlier pre-ordered for the new handset device during the pre-booking campaign which ended on February 28.

Among those who picked up their BB Z10 phones were Senator Bode Olajumoke, Chief Executive Officer of BUA Group of Companies, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and the Principal Partner of E.E. Ogboru and Associates, Ogboru Elmoni. Head, Corporate Sales, Globacom, Kamal Shonibare, said the customers who collected their handsets were those who had booked either at Gloworld or Glo zone outlet or who completed the online pre-booking form.

He expressed delight that Glo made it possible for its customers to be among the first set of Blackberry users to own the latest Blackberry smartphone, which was launched recently. The handset is sold for N100,000 with a convenient N3,000 monthly subscription fee.

“You will recall that Globacom made history in 2005 as the first telecommunications company in Nigeria to launch BlackBerry Services. I am happy that we have always offered our customers the latest technology to keep them at par with the rest of the world,” said Shonibare.

The ambassadors, Chukwuka-Akpotha and Elliot said they were excited to be part of the team to empower Glo subscribers with the latest BB smartphone. They noted that Glo had since launch availed its customers with innovative products and services to enhance their social and business transactions.

“It has been great serving Glo subscribers today and we are delighted to bring this joy to them. We are proud to be ambassadors of this great brand,” they declared. BB Z10 offers a faster and smarter experience than other BB handsets in the market and is designed to continuously adapt to the subscriber’s personal and business requirements. The core hardware features of the Z10 include a 4.2-inch display, dual-core 1.5-GHz processor, 8-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, microSD card support, and a removable battery.
