Olubukola M. Abitoye hails from Ondo town in Ondo State Nigeria. She is a skilled financial specialist with extensive knowledge of the banking and finance sectors. Abitoye graduated with a bachelor’s degree in management and accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife, Osun State, after attending St. Helen’s Unity Secondary School in Ondo State. She is also a graduate of Charisma University in North America with a degree in business administration.
She famously spearheaded the creation of Sky Capital Financial and Allied Services Ltd, a financial services company with offices in Lagos and a fully owned subsidiary of Sifax Group. She put in place the methods and procedures that made the organisation sustainable.

Abitoye’s leadership at Skye Bank Sierra Leone Limited led the bank from a ranking of 11th position (out of 14 banks) to sixth position in less than two years. Before this, she worked at Skye Bank PLC (now Polaris B(now Polaris Bank Limited) where she advanced faster through the ranks and received more promotions than any other employee had in the bank’s history.
She also worked for United Bank for Africa PLC, where she earned a reputation for rejuvenating distressed bank branches and turning them into profitable entities. As the current MD/CEO of Digital Space Capital Ltd, Abitoye’s business expertise and innovation are obvious.
