Tariye Gbadegesin resigns as director of Guinness Nigeria

Guinness Nigeria Plc, a beverage alcohol company in Nigeria, has announced the resignation of Tariye Gbadegesin from its board of directors, effective from February 24, 2024.

This was made known in a statement on Friday on the Nigerian Exchange Limited website.

“This is to inform the NGX, the investing public and other stakeholders, of the resignation of Gbadegesin from the Board of Guinness Nigeria Plc with effect from February 24, 2024,” Abidemi Ademola, legal director/company secretary said in a statement.

Gbadegesin’s decision to step down aligns with the terms of her recent appointment as the chief executive officer of the Climate Investment Funds.

Gbadegesin joined the Guinness Nigeria Board on July 27, 2022. Throughout her tenure, she served as a member of the statutory audit committee of the board, boasting more than 20 years of experience in finance, principal investments, and infrastructure.

“The Board hugely appreciates Gbadegesin for her commitment, innovative and strategic contribution to the company as a valued independent non-executive director. The Board wishes Gbadegesin success in her new endeavors,” Ademola said.
