Ideashouse Limited, a marketing solution firm consolidating its position in the market, is looking at going beyond experiential space to total marketing solutions provider.

The business, which started about five years ago, has grown to become an agency that is sought after by top business firms across the country.

Kehind Salami, managing director/CEO of the firm, who disclosed this during the fifth anniversary celebration of the company in Lagos, said it was a vision conceptualised and nurtured just five years ago.

Salami stated that when he started the company, having seen the level of competition in the market, was sure he needed an agency that was going to do things differently, an agency that was not going to be just a provider of solution, but an integrated strategy partner. Meaning that we were not going to be an agency that would solely depend on briefs because the moment brief comes, it gets starved of oxygen. He goes further to say that at Ideahouse “we have woven our DNA around the concept of insight generation, including consumer trade channel, where we use research to generate those insights that enable us unlock opportunities as we see them.”

Salami stressed that in the next five years, the company will move from being just a mere experiential agency to being a total solutions provider. And by being a total solutions provider, I mean going through the lines – from concept to execution, and execution is both above the line and below the line, and that is where we want to move as business, he said.

“Like I said earlier, our fabrics are woven around experiential space, but going forward we are looking at total marketing solution. We will probably be looking into other areas of marketing solution so that it becomes what you could call an end-to-end solution.”

In terms of market share in the industry, Salami could not be specific because paucity of data in Nigeria, but said “you know Nigeria is terrible when it comes to statistics, but what I can say is that we are one of the agencies that are sought after in the market at the moment because of our level of creativity, innovation, freshness and the kind of solution we are offer.

“In terms of ranking, I would say may be four or fifth position as the case may be, but in terms of figures I don’t have what the industry turnover is. May be I need to say that, I am not concerned about turnover but I more concerned about contribution in terms of profitability and have a system that enable us make profit within what is expected of us as a business.”

Going into the future, the CEO said Ideashouse would be ready to design solutions that were made fit for purpose. “We are highly balanced; we have a consistent team and consistent strategy that gives consumer value that gives us the leverage for service excellence. We will offer the best quality of work environment for our people, value for our shareholders and make sure we give the best to our customers,” he said.
