SUPACELL (2024)

I finally summoned the courage to see another series, 2 weeks in a roll, I guess I deserve some accolades knowing fully well, that series isn’t my forte, well I bring to you this week my review “Supercell” and guess what, it was so cool and worth every bit of my time, I guess the excitements and hypes online were true, I enjoyed it. In the movie Michael was a very young, handsome, hardworking guy, who was saving up to propose to his long-time girlfriend, just after his proposal he found out that he had some super powers and this was not peculiar to him alone but also to 4 other young black teens in south London. On one of his missions out of this sphere, he found out that he would have to look for the other four teens with similar powers, who must all work with him to help fight the evil guys and avoid the death of his beloved girlfriend. Well, you will need to go check out this movie, to find out if they believed him, if they agreed to work with him and if they could save the love of his life, also at the end you will find out if we should expect season 2 or it’s all over, sincerely I must say that I never expected to love this movie so much, but guess what I did and if there is a season 2 coming soon, I am absolutely in for it, I cant wait. The series had 6 episodes of about 48m long, the movie was created by Rapman, they featured actors like Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Calvin Demba, Josh Tedeku, Adelayo Adedayo, Eddie Marsan and many more.

INSTANT FAMILY (2018)

This is a simple drama movie; a friend recommended this movie to me and I decided to give it a try it wasn’t a bad movie after all. Pete and Ellie were happily married and they were living their best life, but they had no kids, one faithful day, they decided that they didn’t want to the rest of their lives all alone again without kids, so they decided to go through the rigorous training and adopt a child, what they thought would be a slide in the park, became a nightmare for them, I honestly thought that the process of adoption was so easy, but this movie opened my eyes to the longs stressful process involved in it, trust me only the strong hearted would embark on this journey, this movie was a serious eye opener to me. Well go check out this comedy-drama movie, to see if they made it to the end of the probation period and if they decided to go along with the adoption. The 119m comedy, drama movie was directed by Sean Anders, they featured actors like Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, Octavia Spencer, Isabela Merced, Tig Notaro, Margo Martindale, Julie Hagerty, Tom Segura, Julianna Gamiz and many more.

ANYONE BUT YOU (2011)

Although I am not a great fan of romantic movies, there was just something sweet and funny about this one, as they always say there is a thin line between love and hate and that was the typical story between Bea and Ben. One faithful day Bea went into a coffee shop, desperate to use the restroom, but the attendant wouldn’t give her the key, luckily a handsome chap decided to act like they were together, got her a drink and handed her over the restroom key, that act of kindness drew them together, they had a drink and the night together, there was a spark and that felt like the best day of her life, but her happiness and joy was short-lived when she went back to his house that morning and heard him talking rudely about her and how he never liked her, but deep down Ben was only deceiving himself as he thought he could suppress his feelings. Well, something went wrong and they just couldn’t stand each other again. Their loved ones decided to set them up again to see if they would rekindle the love, you will have to check this movie out to see how the love war ended, it wasn’t a bad one after all, for someone like me who struggles with romantic movies, I liked it. The 103m films based on a play, romantic comedies, comedies, romances, was directed by Will Gluck, they featured actors like Sydney Sweeney, Glen Powell, Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet e.tc.
