Conoil imports 23m litres of petrol

businessday-icon

The current scarcity of petrol across the country may be over before the end of this week as Conoil, a major petroleum product marketer, takes delivery of its imported cargo of 23 million litres of petrol tomorrow.

NIPCO had taken delivery of about 30,000 metric tons of PMS.

Conoil’s latest import, in addition to NNPC’s allocation of 33 million litres of petrol to members of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) will drastically reduce the hardship motorists are currently facing across the country.

The management of the company has also assured that the product will be evenly distributed to its filling stations across the country with a view to easing out the long queues within the shortest time possible.
