BusinessDay set to host maiden Agricultural Exports Exposition in July

Nigeria secures ¥15b to boost agriculture

BusinessDay Media Limited, West Africa’s leading provider of business intelligence and information on diversified media platforms, is set to host the maiden edition of its Agricultural Exports Exposition (AGREX).

The exposition themed ‘From Soil to Global Markets: Accelerating Nigeria’s Agribusiness Transformation’, is scheduled to hold on July 20 at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

The conference holds on the back of recent changes in the country, such as the removal of subsidies. Nigerians are seeking ways to compete in the global market and earn foreign currency, and agribusiness, particularly agricultural exportation, has become the most lucrative sector in Nigeria.

“Fortunately, we can achieve this by embracing our abundant natural resources and taking charge of refining our produce,” BusinessDay said in a statement.

Experts in the agricultural sector/value chain are expected to attend the exposition and discuss compelling opportunities presented by engaging in agricultural exportation in Nigeria.

AGREX will shed light on the wealth of advantages, including abundant agricultural resources, growing global demand, profitability, diversification benefits, government support, job creation potential, sustainability advantages, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The event will also connect agricultural business owners, enthusiasts, and farmers. “Together, we can accelerate economic growth, promote sustainable development, and unlock the immense potential of Nigeria’s agricultural sector,” the statement said.
