As the countdown to the February 15th Access Bank Lagos City Marathon continues, top Nigerian sports dignitaries have signed up to participate in the event marking its 10th anniversary.
Preparations are in top gear, with elite runners from across the world and Lagos fun runners eager to take part in the prestigious race.
The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has cemented its status as one of the world’s top marathons, attracting elite athletes and enthusiasts alike.
The 10th edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is expected to attract over 4,000 foreign runners and 100 elite athletes across different countries.
Among the notable Nigerian dignitaries set to participate in the 2025 edition are former Sports Minister and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Hon. Sunday Dare; National Sports Commission Chairman, Shehu Dikko; NSC Director General, Bukola Olapade; former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President and current FIFA Executive Committee member, Amaju Pinnick.
Others include Nigeria Olympic Committee Vice President Solomon Ogba, Paralympic Committee of Nigeria President Sunday Odebode, and Athletics Federation of Nigeria President Tonobok Okowa.
