Manchester United are on the verge of completing their first major signing under new manager Ruben Amorim, as Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu is set to arrive at Old Trafford on Saturday for a medical and contract signing.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 20-year-old Danish left-back will complete his move from Serie A club Lecce, where he has impressed since joining from Danish side Nordsjaelland in 2022.

Dorgu was included in Lecce’s squad for their recent match against Parma at the Tardini Stadium, although he did not feature. His presence allowed him to bid farewell to teammates and club staff ahead of his departure.
The deal, agreed earlier this week, will see United pay an initial €30 million, with an additional €7.5 million in performance-related bonuses. This transfer marks another significant financial success for Lecce’s sporting director Pantaleo Corvino, renowned for his ability to identify and develop young talent.
Dorgu’s arrival at Old Trafford signals the beginning of Amorim’s squad rebuild, with the Red Devils looking to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season.
