Manchester United are reportedly preparing a sensational swoop for Napoli star Victor Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window.

United are eager to bolster their attacking options and are considering swapping Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.

Osimhen has long been on United’s radar, with previous links dating back several years, but a move has never materialized. Reports suggest that United even made a verbal offer in January, but he remained at Galatasaray, where he is currently on loan from Napoli.

The 26-year-old Nigerian striker has a release clause in his Napoli contract that is expected to drop to around £63 million ahead of next season.

While Napoli are keen to offload him, United will still face a significant financial hurdle to complete the deal. To generate funds, the Red Devils are considering offloading Hojlund and Zirkzee before finalizing a move for Osimhen.

However, United are not alone in the race. Juventus are also monitoring Osimhen as they seek to revamp their attacking options. Despite signing Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG in January, the Italian giants are keeping close tabs on the Nigerian forward.

Ruben Amorim views Osimhen as a proven goalscorer capable of transforming their frontline. The club has started making plans for negotiations, though they are aware of the financial demands involved, including a lucrative wage package that could test their revised salary structure.

Osimhen has been in prolific form this season, netting 17 goals and providing five assists in 23 appearances across the Super Lig and Europa League. His goal-scoring prowess makes him a prime target as United look to make key attacking reinforcements this summer.
