LeBron James and Kevin Durant squared off in a thrilling finish at Arena in their first regular season meeting in 1,766 days, but the Lakers came back to win 100-95.
The Lakers defeated the Suns 28-11 in the fourth quarter after trailed by eight points going into the final quarter. James made two crucial baskets in the closing minutes to give the Lakers their first victory of the season in their home opener.

James played 35 minutes, including the entire fourth quarter, and finished with 21 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Anthony Davis finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks in the victory, despite rumors of a minutes restriction following their first game.
Due to injuries, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker missed tonight’s game. As a result, Durant took the lead for the Suns offensively, scoring 39 points and pulling down 11 rebounds on 14 of 28 shots, moving up to 12th place on the all-time scoring list behind Hakeem Olajuwon.
