Kyle Walker delighted to join "Dream Club" AC Milan

England defender Kyle Walker has expressed excitement about joining AC Milan after completing a loan move from Manchester City. The 34-year-old, who will wear the No. 32 shirt, was officially unveiled by the Italian club on Friday evening. The deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent for €5 million.

In his first statement since the move, Walker shared his enthusiasm on Instagram.
“Ciao Milan, I’m delighted and proud to sign for AC Milan! A club with such a rich history, one I’ve followed since I was a kid. It’s an honour to join, and I can’t wait to pull on the Rossoneri shirt and get started.

“I’m very much looking forward to this new chapter in my career and to beginning this journey with my family in Italy. Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, both on and off the pitch. See you soon!”

Walker’s arrival marks Milan’s first signing of the January transfer window and the first under new head coach Sergio Conceição, who replaced Paulo Fonseca just before the new year. His signing addresses the gap left by Emerson Royal, who is sidelined for up to two months with an injury.

Walker departs Manchester City after a decorated seven-year spell, during which he won six Premier League titles and the 2023 Champions League. His exit comes amid a rebuild at the Etihad, with Pep Guardiola’s side currently trailing league leaders Liverpool by 12 points.

Meanwhile, City have been active in the transfer market, securing Egypt forward Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million, alongside defenders Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis. Marmoush’s signing is part of City’s efforts to refresh their squad as they chase domestic and European success.
