Ikoyi Club 1938 hosts thrilling Quomodo swimming festival

The Ikoyi Club 1938 was alive with excitement on Saturday, February 1st, as it hosted the Quomodo Swimming Festival.

The developmental Inter-School swimming tournament showcased impressive swimming skills and unwavering determination, captivating spectators and sponsors alike.

Grange School emerged as a top contender for the overall best position after the thrilling contests. Riverbank School, Children International School, Meadow Hall School, and The Kids Court School also delivered splendid performances with exciting podium finishes in various categories.

Akinbulejo Onabolu, Games Captain and Vice Chairman of the Swimming Section at Ikoyi Club, expressed his delight with the skills displayed by the participating schools. “We are very positive that with events like this, some of our products here will represent Nigeria at the Olympic Games. I am ecstatic,” Onabolu said.

Adedoyin Segun-Noibi, General Manager of Quomodo Systems Africa, the sponsor, also praised the young athletes’ skill and determination.

“We have been truly impressed by the remarkable skill and determination showcased by these young athletes. Their performances are a testament to the immense potential that exists within our local sporting community. The participants competed in breaststroke, freestyle, individual medley, backstroke, and relays. They will compete again later in the year to determine the overall winner of the competition.
