Seria A side Atalanta are determined to keep hold of in-form Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman despite growing transfer speculation.
The 27-year-old former Everton star has attracted widespread interest due to his stellar performances for Atalanta, where he scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season. Last season, Lookman played a pivotal role in Atalanta’s campaign, notably netting a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Lookman, who has one year remaining on his contract at the end of the season, is at a crossroads. Atalanta is reportedly keen on extending his deal to fend off interest from top European clubs, but the club is also prepared to listen to offers if he decides not to stay.

Atalanta President Antonio Percassi and CEO Luca Percassi, in a recent interview with Corriere della Sera, emphasised their desire to retain Lookman but acknowledged that his future ultimately depends on his will. “We’ll do all we can, but he must not stay against his will,” the Percassis said. “After all, we’ve already replaced Zapata, Muriel, and Gomez.”
Lookman is valued at €55 million by Transfermarkt, but Atalanta could demand up to €80 million for his services. The Nigerian international is seeking a move to a club where he can compete for major trophies.
Lookman is anticipated to be a highly sought-after player in the upcoming transfer window as he continues to impress with his performances for Atalanta.
