At a time in Nigeria when many developers are withholding investment and watching the country’s uncertain economy play out, homebuilder, Strongmas Residence, broke ground recently to build 4-storey Kesbel Court which promises affordable luxury homes for Nigerian buyers.
Michael Shobukola, the company’s managing director, told BusinessDay at the ground breaking event that as an entrepreneur, courage and ‘can-do spirit’ have been the foundation of all he has done, adding, “ if you put God first in everything you do, you will excel.”“We have looked at the market and seen the way it has been tainted and devalued such that substandard buildings are everywhere. What we call luxury is no longer there and that is why we decided to take the bull by the horn to change the game; it has been so fantastic that we are commended,” he said.
Kesbel Court is the developer’s latest project coming after successful completion of two others are known as Avion’s Court at Urban Prime 2, Ogombo Road and Strongmas Residence at Dele Adediji, Lekki Phase 1, and The Omini. It is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture, integrating technology and innovation to drive comfort and efficiency in the homes.
The project sits on about 1000 square metres and is located at Fatai Idowu Street, an upscale location in Lekki Phase 1 and, according to the developer, it is an ideal place to own a home with world-class amenities.
The building will rise four floors with the ground floor serving as parking area and other amenities. Shobukola explained that the first floor was where the living rooms would start with six units of three-bedroom and three units of two-bedroom. The fourth floor, he added, would be a four-bedroom pent house with a dedicated private lift and a cinema.
The building which will be fully serviced, he said, would boast features such as 24 hours power, security, flood, smoke and gas detection system, integrated sound system, smart lights, CCTV Surveillance System, fully fitted kitchen, Astounding woodwork, gym, swimming pool, 180 degrees panoramic view of its vicinity, and smart access control.
The developer assured investors and home buyers that what they have on offer is affordable luxury, pointing out however that affordability, in relation to Kesbel Court, does not mean cheapness.
“Though our project is affordable, it is not cheap. Affordability does not mean cheapness. It is how you pay—paying with convenience. We have a payment plan in place that enables buyers to pay without feeling the pain. You can pay by instalments after depositing a certain percentage of the property price. We spread payment up to 12 months which is usually the period for our project completion.
We are in collaboration with some mortgage banks that give facility to buyers who need same. These are people who have the capacity to take longer years. We can facilitate that process for them. We demand a serious commitment of 10 percent, but we believe that money is a vehicle, if you put it into something, it will move and your mind will be there. So, people put down more so that they can move faster,” he said.
At Strongmas Residence, he said, they believed that their business must touch the lives of people meaningfully, adding that their success was founded on a very simple philosophy of honouring commitment to all of their clients and never compromising on quality .
“We want to change people’s lives for the better by creating an environment that encourages efficiency, productivity, and luxury living; we create an environment that takes people who buy from to the future and that exactly is the core of Kesbel Court,” he assured.
