…Inaugurates state party secretariat
Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that the party was politically solid and ready to provide logistics to ensure it captures Anambra State in the November 8, 2025 governorship selection.
Ganduje also reassured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to tackling the country’s challenges with determination and a clear sense of purpose.
The APC chairman said this during the inauguration of the new APC State Secrtariat, in Awka, on Saturday.
The party secretariat was secured for the party by a frontline aspirant in the November governorship election, Paul Chukwuma.
The event brought together key political stakeholders, governorship aspirants and policymakers to reflect on the conduct of the party’s primaries and it’s chances ahead of the November governorship poll.
While addressing the state party leadership, governorship aspirants and other party stakeholders, Ganduje said it is high time Anambra is connected to the national grid of party politics.
He further expressed displeasure that despite the huge available human and natural resources in Anambra, the state had over the years been playing “rural politics” and hence, lagging behind other states.
“We are here for three activities, to commission our new party secretariat, to hold a meeting with stakeholders so that we can discuss issues, exchange ideas and take resolution to know where we are going and also to pay solidarity to some individuals.
“Our party is politically solid, it is a compound, not a mixture. I have not seen any friction, all members are united. When we came in, we told our members that it will not be business as usual and we are happy that the party is fully operational in Anambra.
“You can also observe that our party is progressive and productive because we are solidly on ground. We told our members and aspirants that they must be focused, they must have a plan and they must be ambitious and I am happy that it is happening in Anambra State.
“As we have been saying, we have five states in the South-East zone. There was a time all the five states were controlled by other political parties, but today, APC controlled two states in the region.

“We must connect Anambra to the national grid, we must connect you to the centre. For now, Anambra is still at the rural grid and that is why it is still moving at a slow pace in terms of development.
“We assure you that our party is in collaboration and we are ready to provide all the logistics to ensure Anambra becomes the party for APC,” he said.
Ganduje assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is addressing the country’s challenges head-on with unwavering commitment, adding that his leadership is centred on implementing policies that will strengthen democracy, drive economic growth, and improve governance.
Paul Chukwuma, a frontline guber aspirant described the visit as historic.
“For the first time in the history of APC Anambra, we have established functional ward offices across all 326 wards and revitalised our structures in 21 local government areas. The inauguration of this state office is more than just the opening of a building; it symbolises our collective resolve to build a party that stands for progress, unity, and the prosperity of all,” he said.
