Alex Otti, governor of Abia state, has expressed his Administration’s interest to partner Sinoma Materials Company Nigeria Limited, to establish a factory in Abia state.

Governor Otti, stated this during a business meeting with a delegation from Sinoma Materials Company Nigeria Limited, led by Zhang Hui, its chairman.

He said that the presence of Sinoma Materials Company Nigeria Limited in Abia state, would create job for the people of the state and contribute to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the state.

According to Governor Otti, the company may consider setting up its factory around Osisioma axis of the state, as the area enjoys 24 hours power supply, provided by Geometric Power Limited.

Zhang Hui, chairman, Sinoma Company Nigeria Limited, leader of the delegation, said that the company is in the business of manufacturing one of the best building materials, used for ceiling and walls, including building cement factories and has built up to 4 cement factories for major cement producers in the country.

He said that the company’s products are water and fire resistant and sort collaboration with the state government towards patronage and marketing.

Nwankwo Chukwudi Daniel, the country head of sales, SINOMA Materials Nigeria Limited, said that the company is also into manufacturing of fiber ceiling, which is an innovation from the company, used for wall partitioning.

He said that the company also has an arm called Sinoma Engineering, which is into construction of cement production plants, adding that the company has been in Nigeria for close to two decades and has come to collaborate with the state government for the purpose of establishing its presence in Abia.

“We want to collaborate with the state government, under Governor Alex Otti, the innovative governor of our time. We have come to partner with him in some areas.

“He has accepted us and asked us to go and do our feasibility studies for our discussion to go to the next stage”, Daniel said.
