Ihedioha’s Sack: Again, PDP takes protest to EU, AU embassies

For the third time, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday embarked on a fresh protest over the sack by of Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo State and marched to European Union and African Union embassies in Abuja.

The protest was in continuation of the resolution by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party to press for a review and reversal of the Supreme Court judgement that sacked Ihedioha as Imo State governor,

The party, led by the Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Suleiman Nazif, submitted petitions to the embassies with regard to the protest.

Among those on the demonstration were members of the Board of Trustee (BoT), National Working Committee (NWC) and that of National and State Assemblies, among others.

Austin Akobundu, National Organizing Secretary of the party explained that the protest also hinged on the State of Affairs in the country.
