ICRC urges governors to harness PPP for development

The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) has called on state governors across Nigeria to leverage Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) as a key strategy to drive infrastructural and economic development in their states.

Jobson Ewalefoh, made a call during a strategic meeting with, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in Abuja to discuss key PPP projects currently underway in Ondo State.

Ewalefoh emphasized the current administration’s dedication to promoting collaborative efforts aimed at improving infrastructure for all Nigerians.

He highlighted the strategic importance of the Governor’s visit, describing it as a reflection of his commitment to attracting private investments to Ondo State.

He urged other state governors to follow Governor Aiyedatiwa’s example by partnering with the Commission to advance their PPP initiatives, offering the ICRC’s full support and guidance.

In his remarks, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the Commission’s valuable role in regulating and promoting PPPs across Nigeria. He shared Ondo State’s plans to utilize the ICRC’s regulatory expertise in the development of its Deep-Sea Port project.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to adhering to the Commission’s guidelines and processes to ensure the project’s successful execution, acknowledging its significant potential for both the State and the nation.
