Fate Foundation, Nigeria’s leading not-for-profit organisation promoting entrepreneurial development in the country has trained over 1.5 million entrepreneurs with the needed skills to grow sustainable businesses.
Bambo Adebowale, dean & director of the FATE School at a press conference, Tuesday, said the foundation through its flagship programmes, online courses, self-paced programmes and workshops have trained operators of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises on building sustainable businesses.
“Through entrepreneurship training, mentoring, consulting and advisory services specifically tailored to aspiring and emerging MSMEs in Nigeria, FATE has trained over 1.5 million. Over 8,000 entrepreneurs in our flagship programmes,” Adebowale said.
Also, the organisation will be holding its 10th Alumni Business Outlook and Annual General Meeting (AGM), themed ‘The Good, The Bad, and the Opportunities,’ to help entrepreneurs overcome current economic challenges while tapping on new opportunities.
The event is scheduled to hold on the 21st of February 2025 at Darlington Hall, CDE Industrial Crescent, off-town planning way, Ilupeju, Lagos.
Speaking on the 10th Alumni Business Outlook and AGM, Adebowale said the FATE Foundation platform has grown into a powerful avenue for entrepreneurs within its alumni community, providing them with invaluable insights to drive sustainable growth in their businesses.
“When we launched Business Outlook in 2016, our vision was to create a knowledge-driven forum that would equip entrepreneurs with the tools to navigate the ever-evolving business landscape,” he said.
“We recognised the need for a strategic gathering where real-life business challenges and opportunities could be analysed with practical solutions,” he explained.
“Today, that vision has materialised into an impactful event, fostering innovation, resilience, and market positioning for hundreds of businesses,” he said.

According to him, the 2025 Business Outlook will provide practical strategies to help businesses adapt, innovate, and scale in the face of macroeconomic fluctuations, adding that it will also mark the organisation’s 10 years of impact, insights, and transformation within the alumni community.
He said the foundation believes in equipping entrepreneurs with the right mindset, frameworks, and support systems to excel and the Business Outlook, for a decade now, has served as a compass for its alumni, guiding them through economic shifts, policy changes, and market evolution.
“Over the years, we have seen business leaders leverage insights from this event to scale their operations, pivot effectively, and tap into emerging opportunities.”
Also, Toyin Bakare, president of FATE Alumni Executive Committee, said the event is not just another conference but a powerful tradition that has shaped the way FATE Alumni approach business growth and sustainability.
“For ten years, the Business Outlook has been a platform for reflection, learning, and collaboration. It has helped entrepreneurs make sense of economic realities and develop practical strategies for navigating business challenges.”
“More importantly, it has strengthened the FATE Alumni network, fostering meaningful connections that drive partnerships and business success.”
She said the theme acknowledges the resilience of entrepreneurs while highlighting new frontiers for growth and success, urging all alumni to participate actively-whether as speakers, panelists, or attendees.
“This is our opportunity to engage, strategise, and create the future of business in Nigeria.”
Oluwaseun Oshoniyi, senior program manager & head of growth and alumni services said the event holds a special place in the heart of our alumni community, having provided a decade of impactful insights, strategies, and opportunities for entrepreneurs.
“Beyond the insights, this event is about community. We recognize that entrepreneurship is a journey best navigated with support, shared experiences, and continuous learning.”
“This 10th-anniversary edition is both a celebration of past successes and a springboard for future opportunities. The event will allow attendees to connect with like minded people and forge positive business collaborations.”
