The trio of Governors Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State; Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State have urged Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, love and understanding as Muslims celebrate the end of Ramadan and Eid-el-fitr Festival.
Governor Dapo Abiodun admonished Nigerians to have hope for a better Nigeria with prayers from both Christians and Muslims.
He also commended the peaceful co-existence among the various religious bodies in the state, which has paved the way for seamless governance in the Gateway State.
Governor Abiodun, in a statement to mark the Eid-el-fitri (end of Ramadan), assured that with the various interventions by both the Federal and State Governments, Nigerians would soon come out of their current woes.
Similarly, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State urged muslim faithful not to stop praying for his Administration while calling for unity and peaceful coexistence among all residents of the State and the Country at large.
In a statement by his Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor congratulated muslims in the State and in Nigeria at large on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebration, wishing them a fruitful celebration.
But, Governor Caleb Mutfwang extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah for completing the 2024 Ramadan fast, expressing joy and commendation for their dedication to selfless sacrifices and spiritual renewal.
Governor Mutfwang emphasized the essence of Ramadan, urging the Muslim faithful to advocate for good manners, humility, kindness, and charitable deeds towards the less privileged, both during and beyond the fasting period, as integral aspects of their faith.
Recognizing the significance of integrating Islamic virtues into daily life, Governor Mutfwang called on Muslims to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and serve as good ambassadors of Plateau State and the nation at large.
In a statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA), Gang Bere on Tuesday evening in Jos, the governor called on the Muslim community to embrace love, peace, and unity to foster a more cohesive state, highlighting the importance of creating a society admired by all citizens regardless of religious affiliations.
