Nigerian stocks gained 0.17% Friday to post first gain in five trading sessions as stocks of big banks made a come-back after shedding heavy during the week.
UBA gained 9.8%, Zenith gained 9.7% and GTBank gained 5% to move the market.
FirstBank remained flat while Access Bank fell 7.7%.
Gain on the Lagos bourse comes as global stocks see reprieve with US Dow Jones index up 4.25%, S&P 500 up 3.59%, Nasdaq composite index up 4.58%, NYSE and S&P/TSK composite index up 3.42% and 3.9% respectively.
