Foremost telecommunications company, Globacom, has urged the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria to pray for the progress and well-being of the country as they join others in the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.
The company also enjoined them to work assiduously to ensure that all the components of the nation work together in oneness and unity. These were contained in a goodwill message issued from the company’s Lagos headquarters in commemoration of the 2024 Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
Globacom felicitated the Muslim community in Nigeria saying that they should employ the celebration to advance the tenets of their faith by exhibiting acts of charity, good neighbourliness and strict obedience to the injunctions of the Holy Quran.
“It is a season of charity, peacemaking and forgiveness. We must remember to cater for the poor and the needy in line with Allah’s injunction to be our brother’s keeper,” it said.
The company therefore, congratulated Muslims who successfully performed this year’s Hajj in obedience to one of the pillars of the Islamic faith, adding that they should practise the virtues of commitment, dedication and obedience which Prophet Ibraheem exemplified by his willingness to sacrifice his son in accordance to the will of Allah, which the festival of Eid-El-Kabir commemorates.
