Nollywood icon Mr Ibu’s leg amputation looms amidst health struggles

Renowned Nigerian actor John Okafor, fondly known as Mr Ibu, has raised concerns about the possibility of having his legs amputated.

In a video shared by the actor and his family, he disclosed that the medical professionals overseeing his care have suggested the possibility of amputation if the current treatment plan fails to yield positive results.

Reportedly, the medical director at the facility where Mr. Ibu is presently undergoing treatment conveyed the alarming proposition, emphasising the severity of his health condition. In the heartfelt video, Mr Ibu’s daughter, who has been diligently managing his medical expenses, made a heartfelt plea to the Nigerian public for financial support, emphasizing the critical nature of her father’s health battle. She expressed that her father has been valiantly fighting for survival over the past few weeks, enduring various treatments, with his resilience being tested to the utmost.
