Movie Review – Daddy’s Home 2

Movie Review – Daddy’s Home 2

Daddy’s Home 2 POSTER

This movie is a sequel to the first part in 2015. It’s a comedy movie that makes you laugh so hard from start to finish.  The movie reminds you of the comedy movie by Kevin Hart. Although the critics didn’t score this movie kind of high for reasons best known to them, I kind of enjoyed the movie and felt that it was OK, I had a very good laugh and most of the people around me in the cinema did also. The movie wasn’t so long but they kept us entertained and thrilled till the very end, I guess you are thinking in my direction, yes they gave us a clue that there would be a part 3, that I am not really sure is necessary any more as most of their fans think they should end here and get something fresh, but then we would keep our fingers crossed and see what they have us soon.

The 1hr 38 mins comedy movie featured fantastic acts like Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Mel Gibson and many more, there was a good blend and this made the movie to look do real, it was interesting and very exciting, as most of the scenes couldn’t be predicted. The movie was directed by Sean Anders.

In this sequel part of the movie Dusty and Brad join forces together to avail their kids of the very best Christmas. They were both expecting their dads, the granddads of their kids and wanted everything to be as perfect as ever. Although Dusty who is the biological father of the kids but never available decided to work with their foster father who is now married to their mum. Dusty is a replica of his father, strong, big and well built, who was a retired military army officer. He always wanted to be in charge and control everything, he almost ruined the Christmas and the kids weren’t fond of him at all, as he was never available. Brads Dad is as gentle and as sweet as he was, their bond and affection were quite contagious and the kids love him so much, they were fond of him as he was always available. He bought them gifts regularly and took them to fun places. It was a thug of war and competition between both dads and granddads to show their skills, expertise and love, to prove to the kids that they were the best. The entire family travelled to a beautiful resort for the Christmas and every day it was one drama to another, there was never a dull moment with all the dads.

To my verdict I would say that the movie deserves a 7.5/10 because it was interesting, exciting, and hilarious. I really had a good laugh with these one and all the actors played their roles well. At a point it did get so funny and almost losing it, but then I would say it turned out ok. For all the comedy lovers out there, then this is a movie to catch and relax with this holiday.
