Nigeria’s Quizac wins African Excellence Award

Award

Quizac, an educational app co-founded by a young Nigerian tech entrepreneur, Tade Samson has won the 2021 African Excellence Award organized by MEA market, for being the most innovative gamification platform of the year.

The African Excellence Award is a voting-based award recognizing innovative startups based on merit. Launched in 2017 MEA Markets is said to understand the importance of recognizing true determination and innovation as Africa continues to grow to become one of the most powerful and influential regions for modern business.

The Quizac platform itself is an education technology solution that picks every element that makes gaming very addicting (leaderboard, points, badges, level, and rewards, among others) and integrates them into learning to make learning so fun and engaging for students and organizations.

Launched in 2019, with more than 135 thousand content learned and 13 thousand users, Quizac is recognized as one of African’s learning innovations complementing its education system.

Quizac, according to its developers, improves learners’ retention using artificial intelligence to ensure learners interact with topics they should learn and not those they perfectly know already, it also provides a platform for in-class and off-class competition and collaboration.

“At Quizac, we recognized the negative effects of the continuous drop in attention span as mobile phone becomes our new partner, this change has resulted in a detrimental effect on learning,” said Tade Samson, co-founder, Quizac.

To solve this problem, Quizac was built as a platform for learning that motivates rather than bore an individual, with an objective to be the 100 percent learning engagement platform.

Quizac is available on both web and android while it is preparing to launch its iOs app soon, subscription on Quizac starts from N1,300 per month for parents while corporate organizations can gamify their employee training for as low as $100 per year, the application is also available as per pay use for churches, events, and summits.
