2020 Enterprise Ecosystem Support Conference, Awards and Dinner

The 2020 Enterprise Development Conference, Awards & Dinner is themed "The Africa we want; The role of SMEs in creating a sustainable economy"

The Enterprise Ecosystem Support is an Enterprise Development not for profit organization focused on providing support for SMEs and MSMEs across Africa with the overall purpose of helping these businesses grow and scale. These supports are provided in form of free training, free Mentorship Programs, facilitation of credit access, seed investment, equity funding and grants.

With over 2,500 businesses registered as members of its ecosystem community the organization has through its partners and high profile business mentors made readily available various support programs that have empowered 2,500 of her members in a little over one year of its inception.

The 2020 Enterprise Development Conference, Awards & Dinner themed “The Africa we want; The role of SMEs Inc creating a sustainable economy” was organized to help SME owners understand their role in creating a prosperous Africa, it also celebrates the impact of individuals and organizations who have continued to support SMEs and MSMEs across Africa especially in this trying period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference also allows business owners to enjoy themselves to a treat of fine cuisine, good music and presents an opportunity for networking and collaboration amongst business owners.

The Hybrid event which was held at the Witsspring Hotel Lagos as well as Online simultaneously featured a virtual keynote address from Dr Yewande Austin (Founder Change international and Special Adviser to the Governor of California) as well as a panel discussion With panellists drawn from different sectors of the society. While giving his opening remarks, the Chief Operating Officer Clement David thanked guests for taking time out to join in on the event whilst encouraging them to take advantage of all the opportunities the conference presents to them.

Amongst part of the conference program included a panel discussion, a video presentation from Samuel Nwanze encouraging SMEs, Networking, presentation of awards with recipients to include Tranter -IT, Nukreationz Printing Solution, BusinessDay, DealRoom, Kinetics Associates, Businessday amongst other fun and learning activities.

Amongst many of the attendees includes but not limited to, TosinShofu (MD, Nukreationz), AzeezMakinde (Founder &CEO Naijaloaded.com), Dr Samson Osifo (Samson Osifo& Co) Tope Aladenusi (Partner at Deloitte and Touche and Chief Strategy Officer, Deloitte West Africa) KolawoleOsinowo (Head, Key Account at Jumia Nigeria), Paschal Dike (CEO Dega Multi concept limited), Comfort AruosaOsemwegie (CEO DealRoom), Edward Esene (Co-founder Plus Innovation Hub), ChukwumaNwanze (Executive Director, Credit Direct), TunjiOdubonmi (Director of Digital Transformation at KPMG), Damola Akindolire (MD Alpha Mead Development), amongst others and SME/MSME Owners.

The Executive Director of the Enterprise Ecosystem Support OLATAYO ELEGBEDE in her address talked about the organization’s goal to support the establishment of 2,000 sustainable businesses across Africa in the year 2021 through training, mentoring, support and access to funds. She then called on organizations and individuals to partner and support this goal for the coming year through their financial donation, support through skills and other business support services. “If SMEs are indeed the backbone of any economy, Africa then needs to be deliberate. The way for Africa to truly develop, drastically reduce unemployment and poverty statistics is by strengthening and supporting the SME and MSMEs, and this is our purpose at the Enterprise Ecosystem Support”.We thank our Major Funding partner, Nukreationz Printing Press and all partners for the impact they are making in Africa through their support
