German Firm launches flagship products in Nigeria

A German lifestyle brand, Miele, has launched two domestic appliances – washing machines, and floor vacuum cleaners, as its flagship products in Nigeria.

The firm disclosed this at a media briefing held at its head office in Victoria Island, Lagos ahead of the unveiling.

According to Mustapha Olorunnimbe, the MD Miele Nigeria, Miele is giving Nigerians an aesthetic lifestyle backed up with several benefits for their delight.

Operating on its three values, the MD acknowledged that Miele focuses on performance, durability, and aesthetic. “Our cutting edge technology, with superior quality, has a 20-year-guarantee, and that gives us an edge over competitors.”

Since its establishment in Nigeria nine years ago, Olorunnimbe confirmed that Miele has the property knowledge to produce the best washing machine globally, adding that the company is focused on domestic machines for now.

“Miele is truly committed to sustainability in all areas of business and life. In production, this includes lowering electricity, water and detergent consumption, as well as a resource-saving production strategy.

“In employment, we hold ourselves responsible for those who work for us and we are SA8000 certified, adhering to international social standards for fair working conditions and employment rights. In business, our suppliers and partners are met with a spirit of respect and mutual esteem. Sustainability has many facets, and we aim to deliver excellence throughout ,” he stated.

He assured Miele is committed to sustainability in all areas of business and life.

Olorunnimbe said in production, this includes lowering electricity, water and detergent consumption, as well as a resource-saving production strategy.

The firm currently boasts of domestic, professional and hospital appliances, while adding that its clients in Nigeria have continued to rate their services high.

For this reason, the German firm is set to launch the Miele Member Club for Nigeria and West Africa. “Our business is growing. We feel like when people buy brands like Miele, it’s beyond buying, but investing.”

The MD, however, described the club as a loyalty scheme for customers. “It’s a private club to foster relationships.”
