In a display of its dedication to ethical business practices, GE Vernova has held and concluded its Compliance Week, a series of events that emphasised the crucial role of ethics and compliance in driving business growth and success.

The weeklong initiative, held across Nigeria with over 100 attendees, engaged employees, suppliers, legal experts, and customers, underscoring GE Vernova’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and transparency.

“At GE Vernova, we believe that integrity is the cornerstone of any successful business,” said Ozim Ifeoma Ibeziako, Executive General Counsel for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business in Africa in a statement seen by BusinessDay.

According to her, the company’s Compliance Week is an opportunity to strengthen its commitment to ethical practices and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with it unwavering standard to act with unyielding integrity.

The Compliance Week was kicked off with a Suppliers Event in Lagos. The event, held annually, reinforced GE Vernova’s commitment to fostering closer relationships with supply chain stakeholders while sharing best practices on integrating compliance into business processes.

In addition, the company also organised a customer roundtable in Abuja under the theme, ‘Working with ethics and compliance in the Sub-Saharan Africa region’, where leaders in the power industry discussed the trends, challenges, and opportunities in the wider power sector while also outlining ways to strengthen integrity and compliance.
