ARM Pension Managers Limited, a leading Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) and a member of ARM Group is targeting the sound health of her contributors, retirees, and the general public in the organisation’s new fitness awareness campaign.
Tagged, “Run for the Future,” the event involves a 5km run/walk, aimed at creating awareness amongst its clients and the general public on the importance of exercise and living healthy. The event holds on November 8, 2014 at 8 am prompt.
Speaking on the event, Managing Director of ARM Pension, Sadiq Mohammed, said as a company that cares for the health and well-being of its clients, it decided to put the event together to teach them the importance of healthy living.
“Broadly there are two reasons why we would like to hold something like this, one it is core to our business in the sense that the well-being of our clients is the most important thing to us. Be it as it relates to their pensions, as it relates to their health, finances and businesses. It is when they do well in these areas that they will be able to enjoy what they have accumulated.
“We are looking at sensitising our clients on the need to maintain good health by doing several things-watching what you eat, exercising regularly and the need to maintain good health.

“Also the health of the mind is important. We are trying our best to ensure that our clients live long to enjoy their pension. It helps them and their families also to enjoy retirement. Even the share joy of staying with your loved ones till old age is something.
“At the higher level, if they stay long to contribute more to the pension fund, that extra contribution will boost Nigeria’s gross domestic products (GDP) in some ways. The fact that somebody has retired and still has funds to start a small business means a lot, “he said.
