President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed strategic partnership agreement on export of made in Nigeria goods.
The Project MINE (Made in Nigeria for Export), which is a Presidential initiative, is being supervised by Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah.
It is aimed at attracting substantial foreign and domestic investment for the development of world class Special Economic Zones (SEZs) dedicated to export-oriented manufacturing in a range of industries across Nigeria.
BusinessDay gathered that the Project MINE seeks to position Nigeria as the pre-eminent manufacturing hub in sub-Saharan Africa and as a major exporter of made in Nigeria goods and services regionally and globally.
