To build and develop moral and socially conscious leaders working towards equitable society, Acumen West Africa said it is still receiving applications for the 2024 cohort of the West Africa Acumen Fellowship till December 10, 2023.
This transformative leadership program, according to a statement, aims to identify and nurture outstanding leaders committed to addressing poverty-related challenges in West Africa. It empowers participants with essential knowledge, skills, and community support to foster sustainable change within their communities and beyond.
The West Africa Acumen Fellowship, the statement said provides a dynamic platform for fellows to join The Foundry, a vibrant community fostering collaboration, idea-sharing, and resource exchange among like-minded individuals committed to building a world rooted in dignity.
Moyin Okubor, the West Africa Manager for Acumen Academy, underscored the significance of this initiative, stating, “In the face of unprecedented challenges, it is crucial to cultivate a generation of resilient and innovative leaders dedicated to driving sustainable change in West Africa. The West Africa Acumen Fellowship offers a platform for these leaders to receive the necessary support and guidance as they navigate complex socio-political and economic landscapes.”
The Fellowship is open to outstanding individuals who have upto 5 years of professional experience, demonstrated commitment to addressing poverty-related issues and residency in West Africa, specifically in the focus countries of Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia
The six-month program, comprising seminars, virtual workshops, and immersive sessions, is designed to provide Fellows with a comprehensive understanding of effective leadership, community mobilization, and strategies for social change. Participants will engage in interactive group assignments, networking opportunities, and deep collaborative learning experiences.
