African quality achievement award holds next month in Lagos

Stakeholders urge firms to adopt, sustain quality culture for competition

The World Quality Alliance and Africa Quality Institute have said that African Quality Achievement Award , an annual award initiated to celebrate leadership in quality management in Africa will hold in Nigeria next month.

It said in a statement the organisers said African Quality Achievement Awards (AQAA) is aimed at identifying, recognising and rewarding companies and products that apply quality culture and quality management best practice in achieving their corporate objectives

As part of the event scheduled on May 19, 2023 at Civic Centre, Lagos, the organisers said there will be Africa Quality Congress (AQC) which is a forum dedicated toward driving quality agenda forward.

The congress is said to be an informative and inspiring day of new ideas, stimulating debates. It will provide delegates with greater understanding of how operational effectiveness and efficiency is vital to organisational success, Ifeoma Favour Emeka , Secretary of AQAA General Committee said in the statement

She explained that participating as an exhibitor at the 2023 AQAA event can provide brands the opportunity to interact with consumes and take brands straight to the target audience and demonstrate their support for quality management.

The statement further listed special guests at event to include Hazza khaifan Aineaimei, Chairman Dubai Quality Group; Celestine O. Okanya, Chairman, Pan Africa Quality Infrastructure (PAQI); Sandhya Boygah, DG Mauritius Standard Bureau; Raymond Murenzi, DG Rwanda Bureau of Standards and Lt. col (Rtd) Bernard.N. Njirani, MD Kenya bureau of Standards.
