HONEYMOONISH (2024)

This is a brand new movie that just got added to Netflix, a Kuwaiti romantic comedy movie, if you are a sucker for romantic movies and you want to just watch a movie, smile and relax, this is the kind of movie you need this weekend. Noor was dating her guy, who informed her that he was travelling, days later she finds out that he actually went on that trip to get married and never told her. To get back at him she decided to marry the first guy who came along and asked for her hand in marriage, little did he know he was being used to get back at her Ex, that wasn’t it at all, Noor decides to choose the same destination where her Ex was having his honeymoon to have hers also, just to get close to him and see if she could get him back. The trip was a total disaster as both couples staying together during that trip get to realise that they are all different in their values and lifestyles. You will need to watch the entire movie to see how secrets from both parties were exposed. The 100m Kuwaiti, romantic comedy, middle eastern, romance movie was directed by Elie El Semaan, they featured actors like Nour Al Ghandour, Mahmoud Boushahri, Faisal Almezel, Ascia, Mahdi Barwiz, Amal Mohammed, Ghorour, Reem Ainajem, Zaman Abdullah, Qahtan Alqahtani e.t.c.

STRAINED (2023)

This was a simple Nollywood drama movie, that taught me loads of lessons, most times we don’t know what our parents go through to raise us, we also don’t know nor understand why they made some decisions when we were little, hence we use that to judge them and despise them. Amaka went through a terrible childhood that made her despise her mum so much, to the point of not inviting her to her wedding. So Amaka got married to the love of her life and had a beautiful baby girl, she had and her husband managed sleepless nights with no help with the baby till, he had to travel out of town for work. Her husband spoke to her about inviting her mother to come over, after so much conviction, she decided to give it a try. This was one of the most difficult decisions of her life as she hadn’t seen her mother nor lived with her for over 13 years, they quarrelled and argued over every little thing, this put a toll on their relationship in the house, as Amaka was so bitter with her mum for leaving her, little did she know why her mother made that decision decades ago. Well you will need to watch the entire movie to see how they survived in the same house for months and if they were able to settle their scores. The 102m Nollywood, Drama, social issues, African movie was directed by Okey Oku, they featured actors like Tracey George, Queen Nwokoye, Sam Nnabuike, Pedita Agu, Adaeze Onuigbo e.t.c.

CITY HUNTERS (2024)

I totally struggled with this movie, I initially thought it was going to be a fantastic action movie, it turned out to be quite slow and almost looked like a comedy movie, I feel like action movies should be serious and fast. Well there was an exceptional marksman and a terrible playboy called private eye Ryo Saeba who worked with a very smart quiet partners, one evening while having dinner with his sister on her birthday, a guy driving a huge truck, drives into the glass restaurant and stabs him to death, to avenge the death of her brother she decides to form an alliance with Ryo to find the bad guys behind the spread of the bad drug making people go to the streets to kill people, the discovery at the end will leave you shocked, try to stay to the end, it was a huge struggle for me, but then I was able to make it through. The 104m Japanese, crime, Comedies, action movie was directed by Yuichi Sato, they featured actors like Ryohei Suzuki, Misato Morita, Masanobu Ando, Asuka Hanamura, Ami201, Tetta Sugimoto, Takaya Sakoda, Funmino Kimura and many more.
