Experts chart initiatives in building values for youth empowerment

In a bid to empower the youth and equip them with essential values for personal and societal development, the GRYN Index Initiative, in collaboration with the Young Christian Workers Movement of Nigeria, is set to host its first inaugural event.

Founded by Francis Olorunyomi and Chibuzor Onyilimba, the Gryn Initiative offers a comprehensive forum for young adults to gain valuable knowledge from professionals, network with industry leaders, and uplift the youth, contributing to their personal development and nation-building.

The event themed, “Building Values’ aims to chart effective initiatives that will cover various topics including personal and professional development, public relations, legal advocacy, health and wellbeing, and professional interactions on June 17th at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, Omole Estate, Lagos.

“Key speakers such as Ezenwa Opara, an accredited public relations practitioner; Juilet Ifeoma Obijaku, an awkward winning corporate trainer; Khadjatu Folasade Ali, a dedicated legal professional, specialised in family law from City University London, among others will share their success stories, offer practical advice and strategies for career advancement, and discuss the skills and attributes necessary for success in various field,” the organisers disclosed.

The founders said, “The GRYN Initiative network targets youth empowerment by offering continuous learning and development opportunities that will have a lasting impact on participants’ personal and professional lives.”

“Also, the initiative plans to forge partnerships with industry leaders, establish mentorship programs, provide online resources, and host follow-up events to maintain the momentum of growth and development for young minds.”

To ensure the event is accessible to diverse audiences, the organisers disclosed that it will be live-streamed on GRYN Index Initiative’s social media platforms, the statement said.
